Wall Brick

We have put up wall bricks, so-called decorative bricks. We would like to protect these and have found, among other things, oil for this purpose. Oil treatment protects against dirt like grease but also gives the brick a darker color, which we want to avoid. Got a tip from Beijer bygghandel to spray the brick with Teflon. Does anyone have experience with "Teflon treatment"?
