wall between kitchen and living room question
Hello everyone.
I'm in the process of removing a wall in the house but I'm not completely sure that it is non-load-bearing. It's a 1 1/2 story townhouse on a concrete slab from '78 without a basement. I have checked the drawings, but on them, all walls look the same, and no wall stands out as load-bearing except for the glulam beams on the lower floor. The glulam beam at the bottom of the image is about 10cm thick and 17cm high. The one that goes straight through the living room is about 15cm wide and 40cm high.
A neighbor in an identical house, who has lived there since they were built, says there are no load-bearing interior walls in the house, but as I said, he's not exactly a builder.
I've drawn a little sketch of roughly how it looks now, the red wall is what I want to remove completely.
What do you think, can I remove it without the house collapsing?
All the walls in the house are studded 50cc

I brought in a construction company that quickly determined what was load-bearing and not in my house.
Call someone for a renovation quote, that's my advice. Ask them to make a home visit and sort it out on the spot.
