Hi,

I'm going to build a heated garage and I'm choosing between using PVC conduit or flexible conduit for the electrical installation (done by a certified electrician). Using 16mm flexible conduit seems easy and convenient compared to PVC conduit if you're careful to secure it properly so that it doesn't move, but is there anything else I should watch out for?
Grateful for tips and opinions.

Please pull a draw wire before putting up the wall panels. If the bends are too sharp, it will stop, which is unfortunate to discover when the electrician arrives. If there are few bends, the hose works well, but the pipes are better.

Always pull the cable through the pipes before the walls are closed up.

I almost never pull VP PIPE nowadays. Flexible conduit works in most cases and is significantly faster to pull.
There is also pre-pulled flexible conduit with cable inside.

Another alternative available nowadays is to pull EKK loose in the walls, though I don't recommend it...

Is that really allowed :o? Seems weird considering all the electrical regulations that exist today. I understand that you don't recommend this ;).

Yes, it is allowed. An EKK corresponds to FK/EK in VP pipes. However, you MUST provide strain relief on both ends with special reliefs when it enters junction boxes. The downside is that you lose the ability to rewire the cable...

Oh that must be a H*****e ;D

Carl: Have you done any installation with ekk lös in the walls yet?
