Vertical paneling without air gap (70s house)
Living in a 1970s house (Älvsbyhus) and starting to plan for panel replacement. The wall is constructed according to the picture. There seems to be some type of nail battens, but I think they are embedded in the standing studs (spantret).
Could you remove the covers on the outer panel and save the baseboards as new nail battens? Then place horizontal panels on that??
The windproofing on the porous fiberboard behind the baseboard looks okay. Should you just try to tape over the holes or supplement with new windproof material where there is more significant damage?
It seems pointless to put new windproofing on the baseboards as there will be an air gap between them.
Grateful for answers.

At the same time, I consume around 11,000 kWh in total including electricity consumption, and the risk increases of encountering problems that I don't have at present. 120 in the walls right now total 🤣F fribygg said:

Norrbotten.
Tested down to -36 degrees outside temperature then the pump gave 11kw so there was a little more!!
