I am renovating my living room in the apartment. On the side facing the balcony, there is first aerated concrete, then comes the masonry/concrete, which I have lined with 6mm plasterboard, but around the windows, I intended to install window jambs in MDF boards. However, when I tried to attach the upper jamb, the aerated concrete just came loose, so I removed everything—perhaps a bit foolish in hindsight, but once I had done it, I saw that there was wood wool mixed with cement underneath. Now the question is:

How should I proceed to get a good surface to attach the MDF board to?
Fill with some coarser filler?
Attach battens to the masonry behind the wood wool (though I'm not really sure how well that will hold)?

Please feel free to provide suggestions!
Thank you in advance.

Glue the MDF trim in the window frame.

Best regards, Putte

PL 400 is intended to remedy this. It can also be used to glue porous materials. But follow the instructions provided....
