Hello,
I've read a lot of different things online, but I'm not getting any clarity.
I have an exterior bathroom wall with the following structure:
- Facade panel
- Nail battens
- Wind barrier
- 45x195
- Vapor barrier or vapor brake
- 45x70 installation layer
- 15 plywood
- 13 gypsum
Should I use a vapor barrier or vapor brake?
What I've read is that steam might get behind the waterproofing layer and if you have a vapor barrier, the installation layer could suffer, i.e., insulation, studs in the plywood.
If you have a vapor brake, this potential invading steam has a chance to get out...
Help me, I'm confused...
