Hello

I am in the process of building a bathroom on the upper floor of my house (above the bathroom there is an unfinished cold attic). I plan to lower the ceiling by 95 mm to avoid having to build in a beam, plus then I can add some insulation. My considerations are:

- I plan to use 45*95 battens on the ceiling (on edge), place insulation in between, cover with plastic, and then put up beadboard. Is this an acceptable procedure?

- How do you handle the seam where the ceiling meets the wall? There will obviously be a vapor barrier on the wall and plastic in the ceiling. Should the plastic extend down a bit onto the wall?

Kind regards,

Martin
