Hello.

I am Danish, but live in Skåne, so I hope you understand what I am writing.

I am in the process of insulating my homemade workshop. But I suddenly had doubts about how to seal the vapor barrier against the floor.

The floor is concrete and will not have any form of covering, but just be painted with 2-component epoxy. How do you seal it against the floor?

Do you paint the floor and then seal the vapor barrier onto the epoxy surface? Or maybe vapor barrier tape?

I am a bit meticulous about the vapor barrier, as the rest of the workshop is 100% sealed, and I would hate to have a "moisture bridge" along the edge of the floor.

Thanks for the help.

There is a double-sided sealing tape called terrostatband that can be used for this.

Ok - I assume it is the same as double-sided butyl tape? I haven't been able to find it anywhere in the Hässleholm area. Do you have an idea of where to buy it?

Terostat 80, Isover, is available at places like Beijer...
(double-sided butyl tape)

Or clamp the plastic between the horizontal wood stud and the sill seal underneath it

Awesome - thank you so much.

You can also use Sika's sealant Igas Pistolet
