Yes, as the topic suggests, what does HDF stand for?

As I understand it, the F is supposed to mean something related to voltage, but the rest?
(though in some English explanation)

We just say HålDäck, so one wonders about the F.

Hope someone can help a bit :D

High Density Fibreboard, type masonite. It is made from finer materials than MDF.

It is true as the previous writer states. HDF is also stiffer and harder than MDF.

No, we are talking about bjälklag now.

I would guess that your F stands for the elements having prestressed reinforcement.

...HD/F
Maybe a good idea to ask with correctly spelled text. HDF and HD/F are quite a big difference

;)

You could definitely say that there's a heck of a difference.

Bonan and Johan, if you had read my entire first post you would have understood that it wasn't about any wood material and would not have spoken out.

f91jsw and Anaitis thanks for the help, I had some hint that it was tension but not the word :) but now I know Förspännig

Actually not. I was just as convinced that it was about ordinary wood material as you were about concrete material. Still see nothing in the text that indicates it is concrete, possibly "HålDäck" but it sounds like a general term for anything to me.

Oh well. Discussion forums are for discussions. Like this thread. :D

I have received an answer to my question, so there's nothing more to discuss.
If you didn't know that HålDäck has nothing to do with skvmaterial, I understand why you didn't react to the question as I intended. I'll write more clearly next time. Take care.

An addition F is there precisely because there is slakarmerad Häldeck with :)

What does the bias mean more precisely?

That it is calculated for a certain deflection in the middle, so it is tensioned upwards to compensate for it.
