Using cement as glue.

Is it possible to use pure cement as an adhesive? For example, if you want to join some concrete elements together?

What happens to cement when you mix it with water and then leave it to harden?

cement basically does not function as a glue but expands and spreads out so that the aggregate locks in place, which means if you are going to do masonry work, you should use mortar... that "glues" together.
When you have elements, you should use joint mortar...

And I thought it shrinks. And this was supposed to be the cause of all the cracks it causes like concrete...
