Hello everyone!

We are looking at a house that is somewhat too small and therefore an extension is desirable. The current facade is made of mexitegel. The question is whether this facade can be used as an internal wall in the extension. Since the question "why" will probably arise, I'll answer now: We really like brick walls indoors.

A follow-up question: How does the connection between an existing facade and an extension actually work, for example, a garage? Specifically, where the roof of the lower building connects to the facade of the higher building.

There are no problems whatsoever with having an old brick exterior wall indoors.

The connection of an extension is typically done with some form of sheet metal that the metalworker grooves into the existing exterior wall and seals with sealant. There are certainly other ways as well.

Thanks!
