Hello!

I am in the process of building a house with Götenehus, and they have recently plastered the facade of the house. I noticed an area on the facade (to the left of the window in the attached photo) that is a bit uneven/blotchy. Since I'm a novice in this area, I wonder if anyone knows if this is normal or if it needs to be addressed? Is it done carelessly? Could it even disappear over time?

Grateful for any answers,
Jesper

  • Uneven plaster on house facade next to windows; orange roof tiles visible above; context: checking if plaster requires fixing or if imperfections are normal.

Hello,

I have recently had my house newly plastered for a lot of money, unfortunately, I have also noticed unevenness in several places that can only be seen in the evening when it is lit, according to the company that did the job, there is nothing wrong with it and you just have to accept it!! How much do you know about it?

Pictures?

Plastering is a craft and not industrially produced.
But without pictures, it's hard to assess the work done.

Hello again, sending some pictures of the facade,
thanks in advance

  • Blurry and dimly lit image of a building facade at night, with an angled view showing part of a wall and possibly a window.
  • Facade at night with wall light illuminating the surface. A window and gutter are visible.
  • A close-up of a textured brown facade with light highlighting the surface.
  • Nighttime view of a brown facade with a window and white gutter, illuminated by a spotlight.

Not to be that person, but if you have the lighting as you do on the facade, there is a big risk of seeing a dip, but on a villa, as a craftsman, you should be able to avoid it.

And the image from the thread starter I assume is a hand-cut surface plaster type (lotusan k) that is applied too thick and roughened, which makes it a bit messy, unfortunately, it will never settle over time, it's just something they say, unfortunately.

You also have to consider the whole picture, otherwise it looks good (the white one)

There will always be some irregularities in a plastered facade that are clearly visible in raking light.
But one can feel that it is too much in the pictures shown.
