Hello! A new floor (floating wood floor) was installed in our house (from 2013) on the upper floor, among other places, a few weeks ago. It feels a bit bouncy when you walk on it, I've understood that it might be like that for a while, until it "settles"?
But in my son's room, I notice a slight difference in level.
Not in the whole room, but part of it. I measured yesterday and got 0.8 at the highest difference. Not visible, but slightly noticeable when you walk. A slight level difference on the rest of the floor on the upper floor as well, but very little, about 0.1-0.3. What is the limit for how much difference there can be? And should we take a closer look at this? I want to start fully furnishing his room but feel a bit unsure right now about adding weight.

Have you ordered the floors to be leveled before installation? Otherwise, it is usually that they are installed on the existing surface without any measures.
That's how it probably is in 7/10 houses that the floors settle, if it's specifically the gap that's bothering you, then remove the trim and nail it again with more pressure against the floor.
No, it's not really bothering me in that way. More that I'm unsure if it's okay or something that should be checked out further, I get a little worried that something is "wrong" with the floor. If the floor is still stable for furnishing..R Rickard.lj said:
There's probably nothing strange about it, furnish and enjoy 😉
