Will soon close off an old stair opening in a house with a concrete floor. On the upper floor, there will be a bathroom partially over the closed-off stairs. I plan to close the stair opening with wood.
The construction in the bathroom floor will be 15 cm of EPS-cement > levelling compound/heating pipes > waterproofing > tiles.
On top of the wood construction, there will be floor particleboard.

The question now is whether it matters to have two different types of flooring construction under the floor structure? Could this lead to cracks in the bathroom if the wooden floor construction moves a bit? Would prefer not to fill the opening with concrete.

Prime, arm with 5mm 100 rebar mesh, float about 3-5cm thick so it won't crack.
