Hello!

Renovation rookie needs help.
The apartment is in a house from 1910, and so far the craftsmen (whom I've outsourced all other renovation to) have encountered all sorts of materials in other walls.

In the closet (where I've removed old wooden shelves along with massive nails) there seem to be two different materials. Kloasong walls (?) on the long side and something (a slightly less loose material?) on the short sides. The craters are now filled, and ELFA rails will be installed.

But: I don't know what I will encounter a few centimeters in (inside what I believe is plaster, please correct me if I'm wrong) + I'm scared it will go wrong. (However, I don't think it's brick because I saw no red dust when I removed the nails, but I could be wrong).

So:
- Hammer drill without the hammer function, is that correct?
- Concrete drill in two sizes (start with a smaller one first says Google) - or should I use something else?
- Screws are included (6 cm + plugs, see attached image), do they work/suffice or should I buy other/longer ones?

Eternally grateful for help!
Regards,
terrified first-time driller :)

A hand holding a piece of old wood with nails, removed from a closet wall during renovation in a 1910 apartment. Cracked wall with visible hole, showing different construction materials in an early 1900s apartment, possibly plaster or concrete. A wall with a large hole exposing underlying materials, surrounded by debris. A blue wall anchor and a silver screw lying on a beige surface.

In the closet (where I've ripped out old wooden shelves along with massive nails) it seems to be two different materials. Kloasong walls (?) on the long side and something (slightly less loose material?) on the short sides. The craters are now patched and ELFA shelving tracks are going up.

But: I don't know what I'll encounter a few centimeters in (inside what I think is plaster, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) + I'm scared something will go wrong. (I don't think it's brick because I didn't see any red powder when I pulled out the nails, but I could be wrong).

So:
- Drill without hammer action, is that correct?
- Concrete drill bits in two sizes (start with smaller first says Google) - or should I use something else?
- Screws (6 cm + plugs, see attached photo) are included, do they work/are they enough or should I buy others/longer ones?

Eternally grateful for help!

Drill (without hammer action as mentioned) with a good drill bit. Always good to start with a smaller diameter.

There are plugs that stick better in materials of varying quality. Check e.g. Hornbach if you have one nearby.
