Hello
I am going to renovate an old laundry room, about 10 square meters, in an outbuilding of a skånelänga from the 1800s.
It will become a workshop. The laundry room has not been used for a long time. There is no proper drainage - the water ran out over the cement floor and then down a hole where it flowed out onto the ground outside.
Therefore, the lower part of the walls is quite porous. See image. Here and there it looks like open, white "powdery" wounds in the plaster.
The floor is pretty intact.
I would like tips on how to make this a nice room in the best way. I am considering hacking down the worn wall parts and replastering. On the floor, I'm thinking of laying a floating floor. Would it be possible to lay it on the cement with some insulating thin plastic layer in between?
Very grateful for tips!
