Hi!
In the basement, the floor (actually it's the subfloor) protrudes over a floor joist. The protrusion is about 17 cm. See pictures.

I would like to cut these so that they are flush with the floor joist.

I don't see any immediate issues with this (in terms of strength, bearing capacity, etc.), but I want to check with you if there's anything I'm missing?
