Hello.

I built a porch this summer, haven't installed any under-roof yet but plan to do so in the spring.
However, in some places on the roof board, it looks like mold. Could it be that, and if so, why has it appeared there?
Close-up of wooden planks with dark spots, potentially mold, used as temporary roofing for a veranda construction.

That's called "blånad." Unfortunately, I don't know why. Google it.

Yes, it looks like "blåvirke."
It has gotten a little damp, but it doesn't affect anything. If you take the knife and scrape away a little at the blue area, it's "fresh" underneath, guaranteed.

And then it has most likely become damp before assembly, when it has been lying in a pile.

Thanks for the answers, now the wife can breathe easy (and so can I) (y):D

Yes, just as long as you don't breathe in... ;)
