Hello

I've embedded a 25mm VP in the wall and placed a box behind the LCD TV. Thought it would be nice not to see any cables.

The wall is made of brick with plaster on top. I made the groove a bit shallow, so when I filled it in, I let a bit extra stay there thinking I would sand it off later. It wasn't as easy as I can tell you...

Any tips on a method to solve the problem? I want to remove 1-5mm and preferably the surface shouldn't be completely smooth but similar to the rest of the wall (which is raw plaster).

I went at it hard with sandpaper but can't see that I got anywhere at all, really :)

Chop it off and re-plaster, that's probably the quickest. Cement is no joke to sand down. And use plaster when you redo it and plaster in line with the wall.

P.S. does a 25mm pipe really suffice to get the connectors on the cables through? I'm doubtful that you can even fit the network cable in a 25mm pipe, and that would be unfortunate. I would recommend some type of rectangular conduit if you want to hide the cables in the wall.

Well, that was basically what I knew but was hoping for something miraculous :)

I plan to connect the cables after installation, so the only things I need to go through that I know right now are SKX for power + HDMI to my HTPC for video.

You wrote that you had ONE 25mm pipe.....

I believe you're not allowed to have power cables in the same pipe as signal cables, check in the electrical or technology forum with someone who knows.....

Nix, it's a no-go on that. All cables should be approved for the highest possible voltage according to my knowledge (not certified) and HDMI cables are not okay for 230V.
