There was an old built-in cleaning cupboard before, and now we want a wall instead of the cupboard, so we removed the cleaning cupboard. My question is, what is needed to close this up? Plasterboards, studs? There will be an empty space in between as the wall is 15.5 cm thick, see image 1. What does one have in between..?

  • Opening for a removed utility closet showing wall thickness, exposed drywall, and wooden framework.
  • Opening in wall where built-in cleaning cupboard was removed; query about filling gap with drywall and studs.
  • Opening where an old built-in broom closet was removed; a fan stands on the concrete floor, and there's a black covering on the left side.
Studs, insulation, and drywall are usually used to patch up holes.
