An FFP2 (or P2) protection I think is quite suitable. You don't need to protect yourself against aerosols, chemical substances/gases, or the finest solid particles like asbestos fiber. So a P1 would actually suffice, but a P2 is strictly speaking hardly more expensive, so ... Feel free to choose one with an exhalation valve (like the picture), as it makes it sooo much nicer to work with.
It is possible to find the screws that the boards are screwed with using a magnet. For example, a Hole in One used for electrical boxes also works for drywall screws.
I have a simple screw finder from Stanley. It works surprisingly well.
