Does it work to tile on outdoor gypsum? Does the adhesive stick to the waxed surface?
Yes, I know the question sounds completely crazy and no, it has nothing to do with wet rooms. (Have a lot of tiles left over and considering a tile edging in the garage)

Are you planning to tile the outside of the garage wall, or do you have exterior gypsum boards on the inside of the garage walls?
Practically speaking, you can simply mix a small amount of adhesive and try to attach ONE tile. Then you will probably notice if it sticks or not.

It's internal. The walls are to be covered with OSB, so to attach the tile border, I thought of placing a gypsum border under the OSB. Outdoor gypsum then has the advantages a) thinner so the border doesn't stick out as much beyond the OSB b) somewhat more moisture-resistant in case there would unexpectedly be so much meltwater that it runs against the tiles.
Hi! How was the result of tiling on outdoor plasterboard?
