Is it possible to tile regular tiles on my fireplace which is currently only built with calcium silicate boards? The idea was initially to plaster it, but now I'm considering that glazed tile.
Thanks! How about the grout, anything special there?
Should you have a mesh behind the tiles, or is it enough to prime the boards?

I used regular grout and it has worked without cracks for 2 years. I think you should be careful to get a good fix with the adhesive. I applied it on the substrate and also on the tiles. It holds.
