Hello, I have a klinker tile that has broken in the hallway that I am planning to replace. Is it possible to attach it with mounting adhesive or something similar? Or does it have to be tile adhesive?
I was thinking of something like this.

I should add that there is underfloor heating which is currently turned off.

Yes, it can work, but it will be better with adhesive. The risk of the tile breaking under point load is significantly higher if you have glued it because you don't get full coverage behind the tile. You still need to mix a deciliter of grout, so it's not too much trouble to mix a little adhesive as well.....
If it had been about tiles, I would have said go for it.
But since it concerns klinker, I would probably have been cautious. I would, according to the above writer, stick to fix to continue having a homogenous surface underneath. Likewise, to get the height right.
But that doesn't mean it can't work with adhesive.
If there is penetrating moisture, it might not hold in the long run.
Maybe someone who has already done this can comment.

Yes, it can be a bit tricky. I just did it on a couple of tiles, a 30x60 and a 30x30. I used the multitool with a diamond blade to grind away the grout, and then the crowbar to lift the tile. After that, the multitool again to remove old fix down to a clean surface.T Toro2 said:
