We have a house with a basement from 1959. Is there any clever or convenient way to determine the thickness of the foundation? We have 2 gun safes that I would like to bolt to the floor, but I'm afraid of drilling too deep and causing water damage.
If you don't have any papers on the construction showing this, then I guess you have to drill through the slab and feel around?
