Helping a friend with flooring, we have a question about durability. The base is a concrete slab, on which there's foam plastic, then a 12 mm chipboard where the parquet floor is, and 24 mm where the plastic mat is. If we replace the parquet floor with a thinner vinyl click, is the 12 mm chipboard sufficient? Don't know the class of the foam plastic.
Yes, the fact that the floor chipboard is thicker where the plastic mat is located is probably just about wanting to have all the flooring at the same height.
