Good tips about the tent, that cabin is drafty and crap. A computer and mattress fit in the tent.

Asbestos air purifier

Since there is no way to guarantee that every tiny asbestos fiber is removed from a house, the only right thing to do is to find another place to live. If you have an asbestos phobia, that seems to be the only reasonable option.

There is no air purifier that solves all problems. To decontaminate for asbestos, you need to wet wipe, ventilate, and vacuum with an appropriate filter. Several times. Tedious.

Better to pack your bag. Indeed.

The question is where I can find housing until September 1 where I haven't already looked.

The municipal housing agency, any real estate agency, etc.

You, it's not our problem, it's yours.

A husvagn might be easier to come by...

That's a bit drastic, the guy's (or girl's) parents live there too.
They might like the house they are renovating.

Only if it has newer brake pads!

I love my parents more than I love asbestos removal. They still live in the asbestos-occupied home, but this is their choice and nothing I can stop them from doing. Now, I mostly think about my own health. They have the advantage that they might not even be alive in 20-30 years when the effects of asbestos come, even though I don't mean it like that.

But me now. Where should little me go in such an asbestos-filled world? I haven't thought about a caravan.

From where are you writing the post, out in the garden?

Staying with a quite knowledgeable friend, who knows all about asbestos's sneaky properties. Unfortunately, I don't want to burden him and he probably doesn't want me here for over 1 month...

During asbestos removal, regular dust traps are used. They are available at most rental companies, but be sure to specify that they will be used for asbestos as they cannot be used for anything else afterward. However, they are not particularly quiet, so I wouldn't want to have one in the same room I sleep in.

My tip for you is primarily to send in a piece of adhesive/grout for asbestos analysis. It can be done the same day for 1500:-. or so, or around 500:- if you can wait a few days.

Found a caravan for 500kr, maybe I could live in it? The thing with that cabin is that all the windows and doors are knocked out. A caravan you can sort of close yourself in, the same goes for a tent, though I don't know computer in a tent.

They have already torn it down, all that is left is the asbestos and the foreign man

Well, I wouldn't want to sleep in a caravan for 500kr.

Have you heard of damp and mold?
Why do you think it's so cheap?
