I wanted to ask to find out once and for all; if you lay planks/boards with the grain facing DOWN (around upwards) will the board bend upwards at the sides or vice versa after many years?

Look at the end of the board. There you will see the growth rings. It will strive to straighten them out. If you mean what I think you mean, it means it will "bend up at the sides."

Outside or inside? In the wall, floor, or ceiling? Tongue and groove or not? Pine or spruce? In the rain? Etc. Could you please tell what you're working on? By the grain you mean the inner side of the board, in other words, the side that grows towards the tree's center. The answer depends on many things. Mainly functional opinions.

Should have used 45x120 impregnated or something else coarse on the bridge, that is, outdoors in heavy conditions with rain / snow / constant water splashes.
