Hi everyone here!
I'm planning to build a small summer house in Lysekil. The house is designed with a regular gable roof, but part of the roof (which will come over a "niche" on one side of the house) is intended to be made of glass, possibly plexiglass or another suitable material. However, a completely custom solution needs to be constructed here, and my carpenter has never done anything like this before and doesn't quite know how to approach it. Is there anyone here with experience in something similar who can provide some good advice? Architectural drawing of a west facade of a summer house with a conventional gable roof and sections for windows, including a planned glass roof area.

Glass shall be laminated/heat-strengthened safety glass. At least 8.76mm.

Best regards, fremax

So, a terrace roof made of channel plastic is not enough?

Channel plastic (I think at least 16mm) works just fine :)
However, not plexiglas, whether profiled or flat, is worth having as a roof.

Best regards, fremax
