Tape for sealing vapor barrier!
Reviving the thread again..
Since I have byggmax around the corner, their tape sounds interesting, but at the same time, I'm really paranoid, so I'm wondering if there are any experiences that speak against green byggmax tape?

The green one is awesome. Built two garages with the blue one, and a house with the green one. Tested both t-flex and byggmax green, and didn't notice any difference. The blue one, on the other hand, ended up being used as packing tape after I tested the green one.

Time for a new order. Has anyone of you ordered from Germany recently?
I can't find the one called TACO FLEX now, just this one. The question is if it's the same?

Unfortunately, no tape has arrived yet. Maybe one should start getting a little worried, but it's probably stuck in Suez or something ;-)

The tape has arrived and been used quite a bit. I find it just as good as T-flex and similar ones. Maybe a bit more flexible, which is nice when going around corners on, e.g., window holes since you can fold the tape around the corner without having to cut it.
Can be recommended even though it's not super cheap. But it is somewhat better ;-)

Do you go off-topic if you talk about tape versus vapor barrier instead?
I'm using T-emballage vapor barrier and taping according to instructions with t-flex (against the pp-surface... it's not mentioned in the instructions which is correct. The text is readable when the fabric is up.)
The tape sticks aggressively as heck at first and it feels just right. My buddy, who is currently working with the same material, calls and asks if I'm having any issues with the tape. No, I say, and check some taping I did 2-3 days ago, whereupon I regret my answer. It turns out that where there was the slightest wrinkle, the tape is coming off...

Was it extremely warm when the tape came off?V Villervalla72 said:Would it be off-topic to talk about tape for steam brakes instead?

These tapes are usually pressure-activated, did you apply pressure along the entire tape line?
I have used etabs green sealing tape with good results, however, the transparent cheaper construction foil tape can fall off.

It has been 20-25 degrees and properly pressed. If I were to try to remove the tape now, the membrane would delaminate, the tape is sticking really well otherwise!
The gaps are not big, but if I had built a passive house, these gaps would be unacceptable. The tapes behave the same on both sides of the membrane.
