Hello.
We are currently demolishing one of the three arches in our villa built of clay bricks from 1899.
When we remove the plaster, some of the clay brick has also fallen along the frame.
How do we best fix this?
Does regular filler work?
Do we need to worry about what has fallen since this is a load-bearing wall?

Try using plaster, it's easy to work with

As long as you don't remove the frame then...
Judging by the picture, it's mostly the surface layer that has become a bit worn. Is that what you mean by claystone that has crumbled?
