We have just signed the papers for our first house. We would like to tear down a wall between 2 bedrooms to create a larger one. We are fairly sure that it is not load-bearing, but wanted to see what people here think. The ridge runs along the line in the picture, and it's the circled wall we want to remove.

That wall is likely not load-bearing. But no guarantees.
However, the house may have settled and the wall become slightly loaded over the years, which means the roof may sink a little when the wall is removed.
