Hi!
A few years ago, we installed a Sverigedörren that was on sale when a local construction company closed down. It has a "regular" Assa lock, nothing fancy with bolt mechanisms and such, just a regular lock simply, I think it's called Evo (without any numbers after).

The hinges have a million adjustment options, and now that I've finally managed to adjust it so that it doesn't stick anywhere, it suddenly turns out to be loose. You could basically say that the lock case is set too far in relative to the strike plate.

Is there some way to fix this? The symptom of this is partly that the door rattles when it's windy outside, and partly that it seals poorly, so it feels drafty on the hall floor. It's probably consuming more energy as well.

Don't you have an adjustment on the strike plate? There are usually two screws that you use to set the "pressure."

There are two screws that can be screwed in and out, but I haven't figured out what they are supposed to do, you can screw them in and out without effect.

Those screws are probably just meant to make it harder to force the door open. So they are screwed in until they are tight.

Aha, I see.

On the lock plate, there are like two tabs that you could possibly bend a little. Is that how it's supposed to be done? Feels a bit doubtful perhaps...

Yep, that's correct! I have the same lock myself and had the same issue with it being loose. You take a screwdriver and pry out the plates/rails for adjustment.

I also put a furniture pad on the strike plate to prevent it from slamming when the door is locked and you pull on the door.

Well, then I'll have to try that. The hallway floor becomes ice cold -> not cozy when my parents, who have the bedroom next door, need to go to the bathroom at night (the bathroom is right next to the front door).
