Hello, we want to move one of the windows on the upper floor about 50 cm to the right due to a change in the layout of the upper floor. To be able to do that, we need to replace the roof trusses that are on the outer wall. Then we're talking about replacing maybe 3 trusses at most.
Can the beam and support be placed close to the outer wall, standing on the floor of the upper floor? The trusses for the intermediate floor are as strong as possible near the outer wall, I think. Or is there any risk with this?
Is there a risk of shifting in any way, or is it just a matter of replacing directly upwards on the upper trusses and fixing the window construction?
The house is 1½ stories.
