Support under existing wall when replacing chipboard
Have started removing the old chipboard flooring. The plan is to cut the last piece of chipboard flush with the wall and add blocking so that the new subfloor rests along all the walls. But I remember reading in a thread here (which I can't find now) that you should place the blocking under half of the old chipboard, on which the wall rests. Is that necessary? I think that in that case, I would have to double block because it feels a bit thin to screw into just over 10mm, as you're supposed to leave a 10mm gap against the wall.
Another question, is it sufficient to block with, for example, 45x70 or should it be the same dimension as the joists (45x145)?
