Need to repair the lower part of my foundation wall. It is completely deteriorated in some places after water has run along the bottom for many years.
The plan is to dig away a small section of the wall at a time, just over a block or cinder block wide. Then pour a small pad and after that, build up with wall blocks or cinder blocks.
What happens between the existing wall and the blocks? Can I press in mortar B to fill the space under the wall and over the blocks? I want to avoid removing more than the damaged part of the wall.
Or is it better to try casting with coarse concrete? The problem is that I can only vibrate from one side. On the other hand, the wall is only about 15cm thick, so vibrating might be enough.
Under the wall, there is rock, so there is a solid, albeit slightly uneven, base to cast/masonry on.
This will also be done lying on my stomach because it is so cramped, and I can't tear up the entire floor today. Parts of the wall are still intact, so this will be a repair and not a new wall.
