Hello,
I am working on an extension to the house.
Where the extension is being built, there previously stood a sunroom with glass panels.
It has been very warm on sunny days, especially in the summer.
The sun shines from 9-17, direct sunlight.
Now to my question. How would you think about insulation, how can I best "protect" myself from the sun to avoid heat inside?
There will be a few windows with UV 0.7. What more can I do? Thick insulation in the roof? Thick insulation in the walls? How thick?
Thanks!

Of course, you insulate the roof, walls, and floor, both against too much heat in the summer and against winter cold, of course.T thodur said:Hello,

How much depends on your budget, space, etc.
I've extended my cottage (south-facing) and insulated 210 mm in the roof, 145+45 mm in the walls, and 195 mm in the floor.
Thanks for the answer!klaskarlsson said:
