I'm considering building a staircase for the side entrance but I'm a bit torn on which design to choose.

I'm currently contemplating two options:

Red wooden house with a white door and small wooden steps, alongside two 3D models showing step designs with varying platforms and steps.

  • The height up to the threshold is 40 cm
  • The depth I have in mind is a total of 80 cm (50 cm for the upper step + 30 cm for the lower step) (leaving about 30 cm of stone slabs before the gravel).
  • I plan to keep the width at 220-250 cm total (190 cm upper + 30 cm for the step. Alternatively, 190 cm upper + 30 + 30 for steps in both directions).

Some inspiration:

Two-step wooden staircase design leading to a side entrance of a red house. The steps are placed on a stone path, surrounded by grass.

Wooden steps leading to a side entrance of a house, adjacent to a wooden deck and bench, surrounded by a grassy area.

If anyone has suggestions for a suitable design, I would be very grateful :)
