I expanded my kitchen this summer.

Since there was limited space to build a joist, I cast a slab 10 cm thick.
I laid a layer of leca blocks, put frost protection paper on, and secured a 2"x8" to the slab to start framing the outer wall...

Since there was limited space underneath, I didn't insulate under the slab but chose to insulate on top instead. So when the slab was cast and I had framed the walls and roof, I laid out a moisture barrier type "platon mat," after which I made a frame with 2"x3" with studs in between and placed 70mm foam plastic 60 cm x 120 cm.
On top of this, I laid 22mm chipboard flooring, then foam, and flooring. To prevent moisture from rising into the walls, I left about 1-5 cm around the walls, i.e., from the floor framework to the leca block, creating an air gap and installed a ventilated baseboard.

Now in winter, the problem has shown itself; it is incredibly drafty under the kitchen counter, so my question is, should leca insulate sufficiently, or do I need to redo something.... I'll try to provide pictures. Best regards,

It is the cold from the uninsulated concrete slab that is seeping up into the air gap. It is a good sign that the Platon mat and air gap are doing their job - you will never get moisture damage with that super good ventilation.

However, you will encounter moisture problems if you seal the air gap. The solution is.........probably that you have to live with the cold. Platon mat is not so good to use for an uninsulated slab at ground level - it is more suited for use in basements, where the slab does not cool down as much.
