Just spoke to a woman at a company that builds houses in leca isoblock. She said they would never use Ytong/aerated concrete because you would then have such problems with moisture..???!!! ???

Sure, Ytong is moist, but you have to let the moisture dry out before you continue building! :-/

Has anyone here experienced or heard of someone having problems with moisture in Ytong/aerated concrete houses?

Yes, I think it would be interesting to see "technical facts" and a comparison between different stone materials. If nothing else, for my own interest's sake. I have searched for this but have not found any compilation...

Thank you, I'll try there...

If anyone else has knowledge on the subject, I would be very grateful for some interesting info. :)

When I called Ytong, he spoke highly of that method and material and spoke disparagingly about Leca isoblock.

He said y-tong has a much better insulation capacity compared to Leca isolerblock.

The same thing happened when I called Leca. Their material was much better, and Y-tong was not as good.

;D ;D wonder who is right ;D ;D

Exactly! I have done the exact same thing with the same results. It would be really fun to hear a statement from an INDEPENDENT expert!
