Studs for bathroom wall, 45?, 70? 95?

I am going to build an interior wall for a bathroom. I can't find any recommendations other than that interior walls should be built with at least 45mm studs. Is that enough or is there any point in using 70 or 95??

45x70 is sufficient in almost all cases.

These are entirely my own perceptions from various wall constructions, not just bathrooms. A 70 stud I perceive as a bit flimsy, which of course also depends on the other materials in the wall. With a 95 stud, you get less wobble, also a bit quieter (more insulation) if you want that, and it's somewhat easier if you're running electricity in the wall. Then I usually run the electricity in the center of the wall and 45mm insulation on each side. You also get a bit more "depth" which is an advantage when screwing in the surface material if you have electricity in the wall. Only advantages with a 95 stud, I think. Best regards, Hans O

70mm works well, but the important thing is the c.c measurements of the studs c.c 30 for single plasterboard c.c 45/60 for double. Gyprop prescribes double plasterboard c.c 45 on tiled bathroom walls.

45 mm is too weak. 70 mm works if the wall is not abnormally high.
