I have been thinking about building some roof trusses, have asked around at various building supply stores, Beijer, ByggMax and it seems difficult to get hold of. I would need C14-C18 45x120-45x145.
At ByggMax, he looked at me and said: No, we can't order that in...
At other places, I found C14 studs but apparently, they wouldn't work for roof trusses.
Has anyone bought this type of lumber and knows where to find it? Östergötland, Linköping.

Sitting and doing calculations based on the Roof Truss Book's program... it seems to work with C14 timber if I use 45x145. Is C14 always C14, or are there different classes? The guy at ByggMax said it wasn't suitable for roof trusses... I want to find out as much information as I can, and there seems to be a lot of skilled people here.

If you select your own timber, you don't need to buy pre-sorted, aka graded. Then you pick out straight, fine studs without knots and cracks and build with that. You can do this at Byggmax or anywhere else where you have the opportunity to choose among the timber.

Have also heard that it should be so.

Okay, thank you! There are so many opinions about everything in construction matters. You get a lot of tips. It seems there are countless ways to do things. I try to find out the facts and think a little for myself, but I am very grateful for all the answers and tips.
