Is there any program that can calculate the strength of trusses, where you can input data based on the trusses you already have? What I'm looking for is to modify existing trusses and would like to get a strength calculation on them. The trusses are from -39 and are of the frame truss type, where I want to move the support beams and possibly set up a new bearing wall in the middle.

I have the truss handbook with the program but it's not giving me the results I want  Or is the only option to turn to a structural engineer?

Can anyone suggest a contractor regarding calculations? And what the costs are to hire someone.
I'm at a crossroads on how to proceed, possibly moving support legs or rethinking... Maybe making the floor area smaller.

Truss manufacturers always have programs to calculate their trusses. Such a company should be able to make calculations for you.

Had a structural engineer here and looked into how I could remove the wall to the attic. He thought the rafters should be supported according to the drawings. The vertical stud is only there to create a wall and not have the sloping ceiling go all the way down. The timber is 45x145.

What do you think about this, does it seem like a good solution? I'll try to document everything as I go and post it here.
