I will replace the loft ladder to our unfinished upper floor. The staircase will be steep but better than a "chicken ladder."

Height from floor to floor 2.68
Opening. 1.60

Length of stringers. 3.14

Attached steps. The staircase will be 80cm wide with steps 85- ( 2.5cm ) over on each side.

Cut out or attach triangles.......?

Or is there a formula for how I do it?

This is trickier than one might think. I interpret that by opening you also mean that the length of the staircase in the horizontal plane should be 1.6 meters. Then you get a staircase with a slope of 60 degrees. A staircase within a residence should be designed to withstand 200 kg in the middle (two heavy adults meeting in the middle of the staircase). Your vangstycken can then be made of two 45x95 beams of class C24, before you mount triangles for the tread and riser steps. Taking the other way might hit a snag since structural timber is normally not higher than 220 mm.

When you calculate the dimensions of step height and step depth, you should use the so-called staircase formula, 2xh+d=60-63. This is to make sure that the staircase, despite the slope, is as comfortable as possible to walk on.
