Hello!
I'm planning to build a new staircase for my garden cottage, and I see that some stores sell so-called vangstycken. Is it intended that you can attach this directly to the wall if you only need 3 steps, or do you need to reinforce the vangstycket in some way?

I attached it directly to the deck frame with angle brackets.
Then I laid 45x120 with about one cm spacing as steps.

If you use material as sturdy as 45x120 for the steps, it will surely work as styrman1 writes. If it's regular, thinner decking, then it's not wrong to reinforce the solution with some support rule in between.
