I bought a countertop in edge-glued oak, 2020x610x27mm. I checked that the surface was flawless and looked straight, but I missed checking if the surface was flat. Now that I've screwed it onto 2 cabinets, I noticed that it arches up in the middle, approximately 5mm higher in the center.
Is it possible to get it flat again, or is it hopelessly difficult? I was thinking if you attach, for example, some 120mm supports on the edge on the underside and use strong screws, could you pull it down in the middle then?
I guess it's hard to make a complaint when it's cut and mounted.... (bought at Jem o Fix).
