How is stone glue for insulation?
Thinking about window installation. A company that installs windows, and in one window it looks like they've used stone glue. It was pink, namely. Now a few days have passed, so now it's more orange.
But does it insulate as well as foam sealant?

I recall fire-rated foam being pink, at least the type I have used.

The stone glue I have used has been a regular light yellow, however.

But as mentioned, it can certainly vary between different brands.

You can't tell from the color what kind of foam it is.
Why would they use stone adhesive specifically, it's not cheaper than regular foam sealant:thinking:

Stone adhesive is essentially the same thing as foam sealant, but it expands less, which can be beneficial when installing windows.

Sounds good. Then it doesn't matter whether it's stenlim or not.
