Hello,
I've acquired Uponor evalPEX 12mm to be laid in tracks and then covered with self-leveling compound to eventually place tiles on top. I have an electric Push12 to replace an old flat radiator in the kitchen, which is 15 sqm. I've just removed the black-and-white checkered linoleum floor. I also removed a rather thin masonite board (4-5 mm) and some form of paperboard.

What remains as the floor is another thin masonite board lying on some sort of wooden floor. I removed a small piece of masonite, and the wood underneath looks like pine, around 25 mm, and I must say the floor isn't entirely stable. Two-thirds have this wooden floor (dug-out but unheated rock/cellar space underneath) and one-third has concrete/self-leveling compound (slab on ground? at least no basement underneath).

On the concrete floor, there was a thin "electric mat" about 1.2m x 4m under the linoleum to prevent it from being too cold right there. My questions are: I do need to reinforce the floor before applying the self-leveling compound, right? Should I also cover the concrete to avoid a level difference? What type of board, Minerit, gypsum? Should I put some sort of barrier or breathable board over the concrete? I want to build as little in height as possible. I have geothermal heating. Extremely grateful for answers! /Uncertain
