I have a K drawing where it says "upplagsplåt" that an IPE beam should rest on. My question is, what is an "upplagsplåt" called, as I'm having trouble finding the product on Google? Is it actually called something else, like flat iron?
My second question is, there is an IPE 220 that a brick wall should be supported on. The brick wall is 120mm thick, the IPE beam is 100mm. Is the "upplagsplåt" still needed to even out the weight even though it only differs by 20mm?

Upplagsplåt is probably just a regular smooth sheet cut to size according to the drawing.
