Planning to build a garage with a 38-degree roof slope, which creates a nice space above. The space will be unheated, with insulation in the floor.

If I want to make use of this space, how can I create a practical staircase? I mean one where you can carry things up, not one of those silly drop-down attic ladders.
Preferably, I don’t want exterior stairs.

Anyone know how to do it?

Hi!

We bought a staircase for about 4000 from something I think was called allmogetrappor.

It was a loft-type staircase with alternating steps, but incredibly easy to walk in and space-efficient.

It comes in a package so you assemble it yourself. But everything is in solid pine.

We carried very valuable things in it. Our one-year-old son, for example. Who once went up by himself... less fun for us but a good testimonial for the staircase that he made it up!
